Bring snacks, lunch, and drinks. We will work straight through.

What I will provide:

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course Outline and Lesson Plan; NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook; three-ring binders, various learning and training aids; multiple handouts, Enthusiasm and a safe learning environment. If you prefer I will provide a .22 cal pistol and revolver and ammunition for an additional fee of $16.00 so you do not have to be concerned about travel restrictions or the cost of center fire ammunition. Please let me know ahead of time if you prefer to borrow my firearms so I have sufficient firearms and ammunition on hand. I can also provide .22 cal dummy ammunition if you do not have this. Let me know your needs in advance, and the full-up capacity of your firearm.

NOTE: This is not an easy class to complete. You must exhibit safety at all times, be familiar with various types of pistols and revolvers and be able to shoot reasonably well (ALL shots on target, at least one target must have a maximum group size of 5.5 inches). Your attitude and participation will determine whether or not Carol or I sign your application for certification as an NRA Pistol Instructor. You must assist with the instruction of at least one "NRA Basic Pistol" class to complete the Pistol Instructors requirements. Some may need to take the NRA Basic Pistol class prior to taking the Pistol Instructor class. I have Basic Pistol classes scheduled on the first Saturday of each month (see our schedule here).
